My story

We show them for adoption on Saturdays 10-4 in Pony Village Mall in North Bend, Oregon. We are across from JoAnn's inside the mall. We may be able to make other arrangements to see the pet, depending on the situation and foster homes..............Aprox birthdate is: 10/12/2011 weight 8#'s. Her adoption fee is $150.00 The adoption fee includes spay, da2pp vaccine(s), bordetella vaccine(s), rabies vaccine, dewormed, flea treated, Home Again microchip with registration, free 30 day Shelter Care pet insurance, free vet wellness checkup with a choice of 13 veterinarians, Coos County Dog License, doggy goody bag, leash and collar............ADDITIONAL MEDICAL CBC/Chem 6 bloodwork (slightly anemic want a recheck on 12/17), dental 11 teeth extracted, she has a few teeth left. Anal glands expressed, nails trimmed. .......Pixie was adopted in December 2018 and returned in September 2019 because of health of owner. Her foster mom says she is great. Chases the cats but then stops, her cats are bigger than Pixie. She sleeps under the covers with 2 other small breed dogs. She is housebroken and will go to the door to wait for you to open it or use potty pads. She is a potty pad shredder. SHE IS AN ANKLE BITER...JUST A WARNING...THIS INFORMATION BELOW IS FROM LAST YEAR. JUST TO GIVE YOU AN IDEA ABOUT HER PAST HISTORY....Pixie we are discovering has had several homes. We are not sure why or who had her but at one time she lived in Washington state. The most current family only had her for a month. They brought her into a local vet for euthanasia because she was mean and hated men. I have no idea how they got her or where they got her. She had a badly infected mouth and needed a dental. Foccas was called to take her and we did. They were able to do her dental that day and that night in her foster home she was wagging her tail being surrounded by the resident small breed dogs. She seemed to be happier after her teeth were removed. Some men at the vet did hold her without issue. Because of her background we recommend children old enough to pay attention to her behavior. UPDATE FROM THE FOSTER MOM 2 DAYS LATER.... Pixie does very well with both cats and dogs. She's very independent, but loves snuggles. She likes women best, but has been fine with all men as well. Does fine with kids, she simply ignores them. Loves to sit next to you on the couch, but also loves to hide in a blanket when she's napping. Humans can give and take her food, but she is possessive and will go after the other animals if she has food in her bowl. She dances and greets you when you first get home, but soon goes back to what she was doing. She's great with potty trips. Scratches and barks to come back in when she's done. She knows her name. Eats well. Likes human food, but not necessarily canned dog food. I mix her dry with a bit of real chicken. She likes to eat often. Enjoys rawhides. Loves to give kisses. Very sweet little girl. She's a great little dog! I would say she's a dominant dog. She we is not one bit intimidated by my 4 dogs. She will go in with them and out with them, and interact with them. She's not necessarily engaging with them, but shall do everything they do. Like she's part of the pack. Her potty manners are so well, that I just let her have the run of the house at night. And when she gets excited she's a wiggle worm. She definitely just acts her age. She doesn't have an old style to her. She's perfectly content in a house with moderate stimulation. Some might be offended that her tongue hangs out of her mouth, but that's the only thing you could remotely call disturbing about this dog. She's a very sweet happy little girl.
